What we collect
- When you email us: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
- When you visit this website: our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website. Our fonts are served from our own website, not from a third party.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or, where you ask about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To run and secure this website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected from misuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf:
- Google, for our email (Google Workspace).
- Cloudflare, for website hosting and security.
These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Cookies
We do not set cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against malicious traffic. These do not track you across other websites and do not require consent.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. We then delete them within two years of our last contact, unless the enquiry leads to a business relationship, in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship and our legal obligations require.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@tapestory.net. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
